COLOURFUL DISPLAY OF TALENT AT ANNUAL DAY CELEBRATIONS OF ELEMENTARY SCHOOL OF ISG

The Annual Day Celebrations of Kindergarten and Classes 1 and 2 of Indian School Al Ghubra was held on Thursday, 23rd February 2023. The Chief Guest of the occasion was Mrs. Nisham Rayees , wife of Mr. Ahmed Rayees, President of School Management Committee. Also present were Mr. Sunil Kattakath – Convenor, School Management Committee, other dignitaries, parents and well-wishers. 

The programme began with the Royal Anthem of Oman followed by the National Anthem of India. The Principal, Mrs. Papri Ghosh welcomed the Chief Guest and all present to a colourful evening showcasing the talent of the youngest students of ISG. In her address, Mrs. Nisham Rayees urged the parents to make their children who lead a comfortable life aware of the real world and the need to empathise with the sufferings of the less fortunate.

The students of Classes 1 and 2 rendered a welcome song which captured the hearts of the audience filling them with anticipation of the visual treat that was to follow. The tiny tots of Kindergarten presented a show titled ‘Pajama Story Time’.  The little ones charmed everyone with their songs and dances which depicted snippets from popular bedtime stories. 

The musical treat presented by the students of Classes 1 and 2 was titled ‘Joy of Music’. The energy and grace of the children’s performance truly reflected the happiness and wonder music brings into their lives and the way it spreads good will and harmony all around.

The audience of distinguished guests and parents watched with delight, as the children effortlessly executed well-choreographed movements, clad  in exquisite costumes against an aesthetically appealing backdrop. The Grand Finale and the final ‘Thank You’ will remain etched in the minds of the audience.

The mesmerizing cultural show which concluded with a vote of thanks will surely be remembered by all present for the sheer talent of the students and the tireless efforts of their teachers to showcase them at their best.
