ISG Hosts a Grand Play Meet Celebrating the 8 Habits of Highly Effective People
Muscat, 12 February 2025: The Indian School Al Ghubra recently hosted its much-anticipated Grand ISG Play Meet 2024-2025, a vibrant celebration of sportsmanship, teamwork, and enthusiasm. Centred around the theme of the 8 Habits of Highly Effective People by Stephen Covey—Be Proactive, Begin With the End in Mind, Put First Things First, Think Win-Win, Seek First to Understand Then to Be Understood, Synergize, Sharpen the Saw, and Find Your Voice and Inspire Others to Find Theirs—the event brought together budding athletes from Kindergarten and Grades 1 & 2. It transformed the school grounds into a hub of innocent smiles, bubbling energy, and boundless excitement.
The ceremony commenced with a warm welcome by Prashvi from Kindergarten and Shrinika from Grade 2, followed by a grand Walk Past of the participants. The symbolic lighting of the Torch of Triumph ignited the spirit of sportsmanship, setting the stage for an unforgettable event. The meet was graced by the presence of Dr C.M. Najeeb, Member of the School Management Committee, along with parents and grandparents. The meet featured a delightful mix of fun races and skill-based activities, encouraging students to embrace the joy of movement and wowing the audience with their dynamic performances, emphasising leadership and collaboration. A special highlight was the drill display by KG1, where little performers dressed as Bees, Bears, and Blossoms enchanted spectators with their synchronised movements, embodying the habits “Think Win-Win” and “Synergize.” The KG2 students showcased their coordination and teamwork through an energetic drill, “The Wings of Joy,” embracing the habit “Begin with the End in Mind.”
Grade 1 students presented “Grace Meets Harmony,” a mesmerising display of balance and coordination, symbolising the habits “Sharpen the Saw” and “Synergize.” Their graceful formations and seamless transitions reflected the importance of self-care and teamwork. Grade 2 students took to the field with “Drizzle of Unity,” a spirited performance that highlighted the habits “Be Proactive” and “Think Win-Win.”
Adding to the excitement, enthusiastic parents joined in the fun races, with mothers and fathers taking part in various challenges, creating moments of joy and bonding. Their participation truly reflected the supportive and inclusive spirit of the ISG community.
The esteemed grandparents presented medals to all the budding athletes, celebrating their enthusiasm and spirit. The medal ceremony reinforced the belief that there are no winners or losers—only moments of growth and joy.
