ISG Celebrates 77th Republic Day with Patriotic Fervour
Indian School Ghubra celebrated the 77th Republic Day of India with great enthusiasm and patriotic spirit on Monday, 26 January 2026. The programme was organised at the school campus and witnessed active participation from students, teachers, and members of the school community.
The theme of this year’s Republic Day celebration centred on “Vande Mataram” and the Aatmanirbhar Bharat initiative, reflecting the nation’s patriotic ethos and its vision of self-reliance. The Chief Guest for the occasion was Dr. C. M. Najeeb, Member of the School Management Committee, whose presence added dignity to the event.
The programme began with the school band playing the National Anthem, followed by a soulful rendition of “Vande Mataram” and the energetic “Saare Jahaan Se Achcha” which deeply resonated with the audience and filled the atmosphere with national pride. The school choir then presented a patriotic song highlighting the progress and development of the nation.
Students showcased their talents through thought-provoking performances. An English skit titled “Getting into the Spirit of the Day” offered a unique perspective on Republic Day through the lens of everyday life. This was followed by a Hindi skit, “Aaj Ke Bachche Kal Ke Senaani,” which ignited patriotic fervour by portraying the selfless contributions of India’s freedom fighters and inspiring the younger generation. Another highlight of the programme was a dance performance, “Echoes of Freedom,” a tribute that honoured the courage and sacrifices of countless brave soldiers and awakened the spirit of nationalism in every Indian heart.
The event concluded on a solemn note with a prayer offered by the Principal, Mrs. Papri Ghosh, leaving the audience with a renewed sense of patriotism and responsibility towards the nation.
This patriotic celebration at ISG served as a powerful reminder of India’s rich heritage, democratic values, and collective responsibility towards building a strong and self-reliant nation.
