ISG Gavel Club Installs New Club Officers for 2025–2026

The ISG Gavel Club installed its new team of 49 Club Officers in a solemn and inspiring ceremony held on Tuesday, 2nd September 2025, in the school auditorium. The event marked the beginning of another year dedicated to nurturing public speaking, leadership, and personal growth among its members.

The ceremony witnessed the installation of officers from the seven vibrant chapters of the ISG Gavel Club – Amethyst, Blue Sapphire, Citrine, Diamond, Emerald, Fire Opal, and Garnet – who pledged to discharge their responsibilities with diligence and integrity.

The occasion was graced by distinguished guests, including Vice Principal Mr G Sreekumar, Vice Principal (Preschool to Primary) Dr Hussaina Azgar, District 105 District Director DTM Cyprian Misquith, Club Growth Director DTM Suryakant Kirloskar, and veteran Toastmaster DTM Rajendra Varma.

The Club Officers, Counsellors, and the ISG Gavel Club Coordinator took their oath of office and were ceremoniously adorned with badges by the Vice Principals. Fourteen Gaveliers, representing the seven clubs, were also recognised as Most Promising Gaveliers for their enthusiasm, commitment, and contribution to the club’s success.

A highlight of the event was a special video presentation, “Journey of ISG Gavel Club,” featuring messages from Principal Mrs Papri Ghosh, Vice Principals Mr G Sreekumar and Dr Hussaina Azgar, along with reflections on the club’s achievements, including its participation in the Oman Gavel Championship of Public Speaking. The video encapsulated the spirit of excellence, confidence, and perseverance that defines ISG Gaveliers.

The Club Coordinator, DTM Ann Thomas, motivated members with her insightful address, urging them to embrace challenges and grow into confident, empathetic leaders. The ceremony was seamlessly anchored by TM Sneha Shamin and concluded with a heartfelt vote of thanks by TM Rakhi Paradkar, who encouraged Gaveliers to keep striving for excellence.

The successful organisation of the event reflected the dedication of the team of counsellors – TM Rakhi Paradkar, TM Sneha Shamin, TM Divya Kuruppath, Ms Anju Nair, TM Fathima M N, TM Sophia Varghese, and TM Sreya Chakraborty – under the able leadership of Club Coordinator, DTM Ann Thomas.

The 2025–2026 installation ceremony of the ISG Gavel Club ushered in a new era of leadership, responsibility, and humility, setting the stage for another impactful year ahead.
