ISG STUDENT BAGS THE MOST PROMISING PLAYER TROPHY IN SCHOOLS BASKETBALL LEAGUE

The Girls’ Basketball team of Indian School Al Ghubra was declared the Runners Up in the Finals of the International and Private Schools Basketball League. It was held at Sultan Qaboos Sports Complex, Bousher, on the 17th of May 2023. Al Zubair Mohammed Al Zubair graced the occasion as the Chief Guest.

The tournament was organized by Oman Schools Sports Association (OSSA) in cooperation with Azan Bin Qais School which hosted the matches.

Of the six Girls’ teams that participated in the tournament, the ISG Girls team comprising Aarya Malhotra, Aarya Singh, Akshitha Sai Ravi Kumar, Evangelia Joby Mathew, Hanisha Chawla, Himani Vekariya, Isha Sirona, Kiara Denise Frank, Nikita Katherine Frank, Pahal Chaddha and Sruthi Maria Jose made it to the Finals of the tournament and was declared the Runners Up.

Hanisha Chawla, the Captain of the team clinched the trophy for the Most Promising Player.  

The Principal Mrs. Papri Ghosh and the members of the ISG family congratulated the Girls Basketball Team for their relentless effort.
