ISG SWIMMERS BAG A HUGE HAUL OF MEDALS AT THE NATIONAL AQUATIC CHAMPIONSHIP IN INDIA

The swimming sensations, Nitishsai Harinath of class 9 and Avigna Chowdary of Class 8  have done Indian School Al Ghubra proud with their swimming achievements.

 

Avigna Chowdary, participated in the Andhra Pradesh 8th Sub-Junior and Junior State Aquatic Championships. She won gold medals in all the five categories she participated in namely, 50 Meter Back Stroke, 100 Meter Back Stroke, 200 Meter Back Stroke, 50 Meter Free Style and 100 Meter Free Style. Avigna represented Andhra Pradesh in the National Aquatic Championship held at Kalinga Stadium, Bhubaneshwar, Odisha from 16-20 August.

 

 Nitishsai Harinath, participated in 39th Sub Junior and 49th Junior State Aquatic Championship conducted by the   Tamilnadu State Aquatic Association (TNSAA). Nitishsai  participated in five events and won four gold medals and 1 silver Medal. It is a remarkable feat that Nitishsai broke two Tamil Nadu State Meet records and was selected to compete in all the 5 categories in the National Aquatic Champioships.

 

Nitishsai reaped a rich harvest of medals at the Nationals. He won silver medals in the 50mts Freestyle and 4x200mts Freestyle Relay. He bagged bronze medals in the 100mts Freestyle, 4x100mts Freestyle Relay and 4x100mts Medley Relay.

 

The Principal, Ms Papri Ghosh and the Management of Indian School al Ghubra congratulated the duo on their remarkable achievement and encouraged them to swim their way into the swimming records.
